Wisconsin READY Camp Initiative - Responding to Emergencies And Disasters with Youth


We are excited to announce this excellent opportunity for Schools to prevent, prepare for and respond to serious, unexpected situations that require immediate action by involving high school students and teachers in the READY Initiative.

Students can expect to gain knowledge, skills and other benefits related to:

¨ Safety and injury prevention, First Aid, CPR and AED training

¨ Emergency preparedness including terrorism, crime prevention, school security and disasters

¨ Applying these skills using teamwork and communication while being challenged in emergency scenarios at the Department of Military Affairs Leadership Development Course held at Volk Field

¨ Students participating will develop citizenship, volunteerism, leadership and advocacy making them the leaders of tomorrow for emergency preparedness and safety
