Again let me say how impressed I was
with the idea of READY Camp and the camp itself. My son really enjoyed
himself and mentioned from time to time sharing his training with others. He
feels more confident that he can help at incidents not only at school but if we
were travelling and stopped to assist at a car accident etc..
You obviously
had a great team from the initial thinkers and promoters all the way through to
counselors, instructors and the general overseers-you know who they are. Thank
you all.
On a side note, I am volunteer security director at the 150th
birthday celebration of La Crosse August 4-6th. I would like to promote your
program as well as maybe get some assistance with site security at the
festival.
Is it possible to get contact info for student organizations/High
Schools in the area that have participated? I would like to
offer`community volunteer service to older 'Leader' READY graduates as walking
patrols and location supervision. These are non-confrontational
people greet and assisting positions that would be closely supervised by adult
volunteers of my team. Are there any available to ask? Please let me
know what you think? This would be an opportunity to expose the program in
this area and to grow it into the area schools.
Is it possible to
borrow 10 of those SERT vests to use at the festival? I can pay for
shipping if we can use them for out teams during the event. We could have your
brochures available to hand to interested people. What do you think?
