The Center for School, Youth and Citizen Preparedness (the Center) is dedicated to providing emergency and disaster preparation training to schools and communities.
The Center Works in Two Primary Areas
1. Youth preparedness initiatives including:
- Responding to Emergencies And Disasters with Youth (READY)
- Ribbon of Promise program
- Risk Watch Community Injury Prevention Program
2. School preparedness initiatives including:
- School Crisis Preparedness Conferences/Workshops
- Safe Schools – Best Practice Monthly Webcasts
- School Crisis Preparedness Administrator’s Conferences
- Safe Schools Week promotion
- Providing resources, grant information and technical assistance
